NINETY MINUTES THAT CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE

Ray Johnson, the author of CEO Logic: How To Think & act Like a Chief Executive, states that “prioritizing is the answer to time management problems-not computer, efficiency experts or matrix scheduling. You do not need to work faster to eliminate gaps in productivity to make better use of your time. You need to spend time on the right thing.”

After a decade in the timeshare industry, I am still amazed to hear a timeshare owner confess they originally purchased their timeshare to “force them to take family vacations.” It is even more amazing to realize this is the same person who is willing to stand in line for hours or save dollars for months just to acquire the latest model of cell phone or personal device. Does this describe you to a tee? Are your priorities so out of whack that you too approach family vacation planning with a secret animosity and dread?

Family vacations should be exciting and be an event to look forward to enjoying. If you can relate to these descriptions, then with the same gusto you dedicate to owning the latest techno contraption to “make your life easier, ” dedicate 90 minutes that will truly change your life. A ninety minute timeshare tour, with open ears and an open mind, you will not only resolve the hassles of family vacation planning, you will realize the impact quality family vacations can make on your family dynamics.

Timeshare has come a long way in the last 20 years – the product is more flexible and encompasses multiple vacations options & benefits. In today’s economy, timeshares make more sense than ever. Often consumers surf the net for information on high end products prior to purchasing, which is a great idea. However, keep in mind when you run across the negative comments, that for every complainer, there are hundreds of happy owners. When you arrive for the tour, be prepared and eager to learn what timeshare can really offer your family. Understand it is not a financial investment – it is an investment in a lifetime of vacations for your family. Timeshare has so many hidden positives that for many years after owning do not become evident. For example, we have four children. Two of our children are great time and money balancers; the other two are free spirits. We have tried to plan and protect the investments we leave them all – while I clearly understand two will have more than likely have the insight to plan for vacations, the other two will probably spend their inheritance at Wal-Mart emotionally shopping the day after our funerals. And I make that statement warm hearted and jokingly, however, I know thru our timeshare, we have provided each of these children with a lifetime of affordable vacations. While some may consider them “ just vacations, I consider the opportunity to afford to travel anywhere they want within their reach educational. That to me again demonstrates the investment is not monetary, it provides me with peace of mind our children will benefit from experiencing other cultures and adventures that will enhance their lives.

Prior to the tour, ask all family members where their dream vacation location is and what they enjoy doing on vacation. Remember that vacation is for everyone, and each family member has their own agenda of what is important to them. What might seem miniscule to one family member, may be the smallest detail that makes or breaks a trip for another. For example, having the conveniences of home are priceless to Mom – from packing to having more time and space to herself to relax compared to the constant juggling act attempting to keep family harmony and organization so everyone else enjoys vacation, cannot even be measured. Activities in a secure environment that give parents quiet time, while simultaneously lending vacation independence to kids are a huge benefit to the whole family.

There is an old saying “timeshare is not for everyone.” It isn’t – if you go on the tour for the free gifts, then do not be shocked to realize you will get out of it what you put into it.

The timeshare industry is a multi-billion dollar industry. Contrary to myth, the sales representatives are there to earn their living by helping you. Isn’t it safe to assume if you cannot dedicate 90 minutes of your time to research and seriously consider how timeshare can enhance your family’s vacations, versus attending the presentation solely for the free hotel room or theme park tickets, you did not start out the endeavor with your family as a priority? The satisfied, happy timeshare owner is the one who purchases their timeshare for the right reasons and with an important goal in mind. For those consumers willing to dedicate 90 minutes of the undivided attention, the rewards can be never ending.
